As the Volunteer Coordinator, you will: 

  • Orient new members to the Living in Recovery Community-helping to make recovery lively, interesting, sustainable, and fun.

  • Recruit members to take on leadership roles within the community.

  • Train volunteer members in the recovery process, pathways, and types of support.

  • Flex your time around the community's events and programs, working some evening and weekend hours as part of your regular schedule

This role requires experience supervising and recruiting volunteers and/or paid staff, familiarity with the local recovery community, strong facilitation and presentation skills, and the personal confidence gained from being at least two years in recovery. In addition to an associate's degree in a related field (preferred), certification as a Recovery Coach would be a plus; otherwise, training will be provided. You also need a valid driver's license and the ability to drive a large passenger van as part of the program activities.
