Job description:

Position Overview

We are seeking dependable and compassionate Residential Program Staff to support the daily operations of our halfway house program. This role is essential to ensuring a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for all clients/residents. Staff will actively participate in programmatic functions, assist clinical and program staff, and help maintain the smooth and safe operation of the program.

Our program provides individualized clinical support over the course of up to six months. During this time, patients are guided to secure employment, rebuild family and community connections, and pursue healthy, long-term recovery goals. Upon successful completion, clients transition into stable, sober living environments where they can continue to thrive as productive members of their communities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate log entries and documentation, including incident reports
  • Conduct regular hourly rounds inside and outside the program
  • Perform bedroom checks to ensure client safety and adherence to program rules
  • Attend staff meetings and trainings as required
  • Maintain the safety and cleanliness of the facility at all times
  • Ensure all sidewalks, porches, stairs, and doorways are clear and accessible
  • Follow all program policies, protocols, and BSAS guidelines consistently
  • Facilitate or supervise urine drug screenings and medication administration per program procedures
  • Protect client confidentiality and program integrity at all times
  • Be present and punctual for all assigned shifts
  • Conduct fire drills and follow evacuation procedures
  • Abide by all MHSA policies regarding boundaries, confidentiality, and ethical standards
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Program Director to ensure proper functioning of the program
  • Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Demonstrated reliable attendance and punctuality
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to work with diverse populations
  • Team-oriented with the ability to work collaboratively
  • CPR, AED, and First Aid Certification (training provided if needed)
  • Fully authorized to work in the United States
  • Bilingual candidates preferred
  • Satisfactory CORI/SORI at all times while employed with MHSA
  • TB Test Result Report to be submitted within ninety (90) days of hire
  • Fully authorized to work in the United States at all times while employed by MHSA
