Job Summary:

To provide leadership for the treatment team at the program, establishing open communication, support, and accountability among workers and consumers. To manage the day to day operations of the program which is designed to empower residents with the skills needed to achieve lasting recovery. The Program Director is accountable to the Senior Director, who is responsible for providing supervision and training. The Program Director is one who actively promotes the philosophy of the Rehabilitation and Supportive Services programs, and maintains a high level of commitment to the programs.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversees center operations and administration
  • Supervises staff and directly or indirectly supervises volunteers.
  • Manage all peer supports and peer activities, and works with staff and peers to maintain project timelines
  • Oversees strategic planning, project development and implementation
  • Oversees data collection and submission of reports
  • Assists with budget development and fiscal management
  • Assists with grant writing as needed
  • Engagement of community and key stakeholder partnerships
  • Representation of center at local and statewide meetings and conferences
  • Keeping abreast of the national recovery movement and its impact on the recovery support center and its peers
  • Educating the community on the impact of stigma of addiction
  • Networking with the MA Recovery Support Centers and MOAR (MA Organization for Addiction Recovery)

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences or related field preferred
  • At least three years of experience in Human Services preferred working with adolescents
  • Working understanding of Social Service Agencies and their functions
  • Demonstrated ability to work with collaterals and above Social Service Agencies
  • Past supervisory experience preferred
  • Must have valid driver’s license
  • Must meet Agency requirements for driving history records
  • Bilingual Preferred (Spanish/English)
