Description:

This internship provides advanced clinical training within a structured residential substance use disorder (SUD) treatment program serving young adult females. Interns will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to support clients through trauma-informed, evidence-based, and gender-responsive care.

 

Learning Opportunities:

  • Experience in residential SUD treatment and co-occurring disorder support

  • Development of therapeutic skills with a gender-specific, trauma-informed lens

  • Exposure to clinical supervision, multidisciplinary teamwork, and integrated care approaches

  • Conduct supervised biopsychosocial assessments, risk screenings, and treatment planning

  • Co-lead psychoeducational, skills-building, and recovery-focused groups tailored to young adult women

  • Participate in case conferences, family meetings, and interdisciplinary team collaboration

  • Assist with crisis intervention and safety planning under licensed supervision

  • Complete clinical documentation consistent with program standards and regulatory requirements

This internship is ideal for master’s-level counseling, social work, or psychology students seeking hands-on experience with young adult women in recovery.
