The Clinical Social Worker (Social Worker) at Cape Cod Children’s Place is part of a family-centered, team and community-based model of care. Social Workers work alongside Family Recovery Support Specialists (FRSSs), staff, families, and community partners as a team to support the emotional, behavioral, relational, needs of families – especially those impacted by substance use disorder. This position is different than traditional behavioral health settings focusing on building relationships with families that allow them to engage in meaningful clinical work overtime. The Social Worker's work includes several interconnected areas: direct clinical services, consultation and collaboration, care coordination, documentation, relationship-building, and systems work.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Hold a Master of Social Work degree with an active Licensed Independent Clinical Social Work license (LICSW) or working toward.
- Have a minimum of 5 years' experience working with families and with those impacted by substance use disorder.
- Knowledge of substance use disorder treatment system as well as the local health and social service organizations/systems. Demonstrates a comfort with multiple pathways to recovery from substance use disorder, including Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT), at any time during recovery including pregnancy.
- Willingness to embrace a strength-based approach that recognizes an individual’s preferences and autonomy as well as the value and uniqueness of each family.
- Strong advocacy skills along with knowledge of community-based services, resources, and local recovery community.
- Comfortable and experience with computer systems including Microsoft 365
40 Hours per week Salary $85,000-$100,000
