ASAM Fundamentals of Addiction Medicine

The ASAM Fundamentals of Addiction Medicine 40-hour CME Program empowers primary care and other providers to diagnose and treat patients at risk for or with addiction.

The American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) is a professional society representing physicians and associated professionals dedicated to increasing access and improving the quality of addiction treatment; educating physicians, other medical professionals and the public; supporting research and prevention; and promoting the appropriate role of physicians in the care of patients with addictions.  The resources on this site are for both physicians and the general public.
