In this training we will explore trauma-informed techniques for preventing, managing and debriefing difficult interactions with youth and young adults. We will begin by reviewing how traumatic experiences may impact emotional and behavioral regulation. Then we will explore specific techniques for preventing and addressing trauma reactions in the workplace. We will practice strategies to de-escalate difficult encounters, enhance self-regulation, and create opportunities to develop resilience
