Training Description:
This two-part workshop offers participants seven proven strategies to rapidly improve the kind of problems in treatment agencies that discourage staff and unnecessarily complicate the road to recovery. We combine theory with practice and examples from Massachusetts treatment programs so that participants can return to their agency with skills. NIATx [Network for the Improvement of Addiction Treatment] has been used to develop solution for implementing co-occurring disorder approaches, for improving burdensome admissions processes, for studying and improving the effectiveness of new staff training on boundaries and ethics, reducing AMA drop outs in detox, and increasing retention by taking a client-centered approach
Participants will apply theory in break out rooms sorted by level of care, key problems or by agency team. This training is appropriate from managers, team leaders and others staff who are interested in finding solutions. Upon registering you will receive an email asking about your current concerns and level of care. The Massachusetts NIATx Coaches will be leading this effort and are available to answer questions. Please feel free to talk with us about the goodness of fit for your work by emailing Tommie Ann Bower at tommiebower@gmail.com.
