An enhanced brief intervention model grounded in the principles of motivational interviewing and delivered by trained near-peer mentors. Usually delivered in 4-6 sessions, this program seeks to explore strengths, interests, and personal goals; emphasizes wellness and resiliency; expands knowledge of the harmful effects of substance use; and looks to connect participants with community resources. This session will help the participant learn more about the model and requirements around implementation in a school and/or community setting.
