Intersections: Equity and Engagement in Substance Use Services

Hosted by the MA Bureau of Substance Addiction Services (BSAS), the Intersections conference brings together a diverse group of thought leaders, practitioners, and community members. Sessions invite audiences to explore innovative approaches, unique perspectives, and best practices to respond to the health and social inequities that impact individuals’ and communities’ relationships with substances.  At the intersections where race, gender, and other identities meet substance use, a coordinated network of resources holds the potential to create a tightly knit web of connections. This safety net produces a Wellness and Recovery Oriented System of Care (WROSC), drastically reducing the number of people who fall through cracks in our interwoven systems.
