NIATx improvement strategies are all about how to identify and fix problems that discourage staff and unnecessarily complicate the road to recovery for clients. This training will teach and then apply the strategies to complex issues in two areas: 1) reducing boundary and ethics violations and 2) becoming co-occurring responsive beyond the therapy session. We will work on the structures that support good clinical practice.
The two sessions alternate between theory and practice sessions allowing participants to apply theory to their own challenges in break out rooms. Massachusetts NIATx Coaches, all of whom have long term program management and improvement experience, will be leading this effort, thus our examples are specific to the challenges supervisors, directors and other managers face in attaining and then sustaining the quality work we all seek to provide.
