Senator Kenneth J. Donnelly Workforce Success Grants for Training and Placement

This grant initiative is administered by Commonwealth Corporation on behalf of the Executive Office of Labor and Workforce Development and the Workforce Skills Cabinet.

This RFP is designed to fund training and placement programs in occupational priorities, including Behavioral Health, which were identified through the Regional Workforce Skills Planning Initiative regional blueprint process. Commonwealth Corporation seeks to fund proposals from qualified partnerships that propose to deliver cohort-based, occupationally focused training and placement programs to Massachusetts residents who are unemployed and/or underemployed individuals, with a goal to place them in unsubsidized employment in the target occupation upon completion of trainingApplicants may propose to serve a narrower sub-set, such as individuals receiving public assistance. Funder is interested in supporting partnerships seeking to uplift populations who have traditionally experienced higher rates of unemployment and barriers to employment, including populations emphasized by the Black Advisory Commission and the Latino Advisory Commission.

Grants are 2-3 years, $500$-$1M, with varying requirements depending on level of funding. Awardees will be required to provide a 30% match of total awarded funds. Match contributions may be cash or in-kind.
