Getting Started with Workspaces

Choose a Workspace to Join

You can find the list of Workspaces to join at the Join Workspaces page. (You can also reach this list by clicking on Communicate & Collaborate, then Work Together Online, then Join Workspaces.)

Each workspace in this list which you can join will have a green "Join" button.  If you don't see a green "Join" button, that means you are already a member of that workspace.

You can learn more about a workspace by clicking on the workspace name, such as "Recovery Coach Learning Community".  This will take you to the workspace page, which you will probably want to bookmark. If you are yet not a member of this workspace, you will see a "Join" button in green.

Sign in or Register Before Joining a Workspace

After you click the green "Join" button, if you are already signed in, you will be able skip this section and go to the next section (see the "Join the Workspace" section below).  If you are not signed in, you'll be brought to the Sign In page with a message "Please log in or register for an account in order to join this Workspace." The first time you come here, choose the "Register" tab in the and create your new account.  If you've already created an account, you may stay on the "Sign In" tab and sign in with your name (or email address) and password.  For more information on registering a new account or signing in, see Using the Website.

After you register or sign in, you will need to click the green "Join" button again.

 Join the Workspace

Clicking the green "Join" button for a Workspace will bring you to the Join page for the group. You must enter a reason you would like to join the group (for example, "I am an ATR Recovery Coach"). You must also check the checkbox saying you agree to the workspace policies. When you're done, click the green "Join" button at the bottom of the page.

You'll be returned to the Workspace page with a message stating that your membership request to the Workspace awaits approval by an administrator. You may have to wait anywhere from a few hours to a day or so for an administrator to approve your request (they will try to do it quickly but sometimes they are scheduled for meetings and can't). You will receive an email confirming your request once it is approved.

Once you are a Workspace Member, Go and Visit

Once you have an account and your request to join a group has been approved, visit the workspace page.  You can click on "Visit My Workspaces" from the home page, or you can go to "Communicate & Collaborate" and click "Work Together Online", then choose "My Workspaces" from the left hand menu. You will not have to login again unless you have explicitly logged out.

To sign out, you can either click the "sign out" link at the top right of the website. You will want to sign out when you're done if you're on a shared computer. The next time you visit the Workspace you'll need to click the Sign In link on the top right of the website.
