Training Description:

This presentation is designed to be an introduction for those that are interested in doing telehealth counseling and clinical supervisor. This presentation will provide a general overview of the process including some basic tools, techniques, confidentiality practices and ethical considerations. 

Technology now allows us to serve clients in rural areas where access to licensed care may be limited. Telehealth allows for competent care but we must make sure we have the tools we need to safely provide the service.

Engaging in effective clinical supervision has become one of the key ways we retain and build our workforce. As individuals grow in their profession, clinical supervision has become a key way to engage staff and improve services provided.

Objectives:

Upon completion of this workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Define what competency is in telehealth services
  • Show the ability to engage in ethical tele services
  • Determine if tele is the best way to meet the needs of the patient and persons-served
  • Discover foundational knowledge about clinical supervision
  • Demonstrate how to competently document supervision and therapy sessions
