On Wednesday, July 19, 2017, Deborah Strod and Jen Parks presented a webinar on the Careers of Substance website to a live audience.  The "State Solutions in Workforce Series: Innovations in Developing Behavioral Health Workforce" began in September, 2016, and has presented three previous webinars:

  - Webinar #1:  Behavioral Health Education Center of Nebraska "Nebraska Behavioral Health Workforce Solutions" (September 7, 2016)

  - Webinar #2: Connecticut's Workforce Transformation (March 6, 2017)

  - Webinar #3:  Growing Alaska's Future BH Professionals (April 19, 2017)

  - Webinar #4:  Massachusetts' Careers of Substance Website (July 19, 2017)

This quarterly series is hosted by SAMHSA, the Behavioral Health Education Center of Nebraska (BHECN), the Annapolis Coalition, the National Association of State Mental Health Program Directors (NASMHPD) and the National Association of State Alcohol and Drug Abuse Directors (NASADAD).

Massachusetts was honored to be invited to present this website to a national audience, and received high praise from Michael Hoge, Senior Science and Policy Advisor for the Annapolis Coalition, who called the resource "unparalled" and said that it appears to acheive the criteria for behavioral health workforce innovation (adapted from those set forth by the Harvard Kennedy School Ash Center for Democratic Government and Innovation): Significance, Transferability, and Effectiveness.
